Founded in Reefton in 2010 - small groups, wild rivers, and a guide who grew up on them.
Founded in 2010 by Nathan Topp, Inland Adventures was built on a passion for delivering safe, reliable, and enjoyable rafting experiences, backed by over 22 years of industry experience in New Zealand and other parts of the world, including Canada and Norway.
As Local As They Come
Nathan is as local as they come. Born and raised in Reefton, just like his parents, he has deep roots in the local community and a strong connection to the West Coast and its people. This local knowledge, combined with his extensive experience, gives Nathan a genuine passion for sharing the region and its incredible waterways with visitors from near and far.

Inland Adventures is proudly run by Nathan and Ruth, alongside an incredible team of experienced rafting guides who share the same passion for adventure and the great outdoors. Our guides bring a wealth of knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm to every trip, and they love nothing more than sharing their backyard with our guests and showing off the incredible rivers, landscapes, and natural beauty that make the West Coast such a special place.
Safety and Credentials
Inland Adventures is audited by AdventureMark under the WorkSafe Adventure Activities Regulations - the mandatory safety-audit scheme every New Zealand adventure operator has to pass.
All of our guides hold New Zealand Rivers Association (NZRA) qualifications, with up to date first aid and swiftwater rescue training. Our guides attend biannual whitewater rescue workshops to maintain best practice.
